Welcome to the Utah Podiatric Medical Association.
Here at the UPMA, we take a special interest in the health of your feet and ankles. On average, each individual will take 8,000 to 10,000 steps a day as they go about their regular activities. These steps quickly add up to about 115,000 miles in a lifetime, which could span the circumference of the globe more than four times. Therefore, even the slightest pain in the feet can greatly interfere with life and keep you from participation in the activities you enjoy.
Pain is never normal!
If you begin experiencing pain, or have an injury, it is recommended that you see a foot and ankle specialist soon. Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (DPMs) are the specialists for the foot and ankle in Utah and can help keep you active. In fact, these Doctors are trained and specialize in the diagnosis and medical, surgical or mechanical treatments of any foot or ankle concern. Find a podiatrist near you to insure your continued activity and to help alleviate your pain.
